Advertised Job Summary

The University of South Carolina Beaufort invites applications for an Instructor of Nursing faculty position (9-month) beginning January, 2018. The BSN program is looking for candidates who want to make a difference and have the vision to create a world-class education in a small university setting. The successful candidate will teach a variety of classroom and clinical courses including fundamentals and medical-surgical nursing, capstone and current trends and issues to BSN students. Additional responsibilities include student advisement, service on committees and scholarship within the discipline.

The BSN program offers two tracks to the BSN including a pre-licensure track which prepares generalists to sit for NCLEX-RN® and a BSN completion program for Registered Nurses. The University of South Carolina Beaufort Nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s Degree in Nursing; unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for RN licensure in the states of South Carolina and Georgia; recent clinical experience in high-acuity settings with an adult population.
