The College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina invites applications and nominations for one or more tenured faculty positions in social work at the rank of associate professor or professor. We seek applicants whose experience prepares them to contribute to the College’s mission to advance the health and social well-being of vulnerable populations through transdisciplinary, community-engaged teaching, research, and service. The College of Social Work offers undergraduate, MSW, and doctoral programs, with MSW specializations in Aging; Children, Youth, and Families; Health and Mental Health; Community, Social, and Economic Development; and Military and Veteran Communities.

Required Education and Experience

The successful candidate will be a distinguished scholar with a sustained program of research and scholarship, including success in acquisition of extramural funding and a robust record of peer-reviewed publications, and will have an outstanding record of social work teaching. A doctoral degree in social work (preferred) or a related field is required, and an MSW is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

A doctoral degree in social work.
