Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Under the leadership of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions and reporting to the Manager of Admissions and Registration, the Admissions Analyst is responsible for the organization and analysis of all applications to the School of Medicine Greenville. S/he also advises and counsels applicants who were unsuccessful in the previous application cycle. S/he develops and manages statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, forecast growth and success, and provide data for research purposes.
S/he will demonstrate commitment to advancing the mission/vision/guiding principles of USCSOM Greenville/GHS in setting priorities, function in an effective and cooperative manner as a member of a high-functioning team, and demonstrate self-awareness, professionalism, open/transparent communication, and servant/conscious leadership.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Masters Degree in Student Personnel Services or related field, or bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Medical School Application Processes
Experience with Statistical Records
Experience with State Agency or University procedures and policies.
Experience with university administration
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and database management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees
Maintain a high level of confidentiality

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Demonstrates teamwork, self-awareness, professionalism, open/transparent communication, and servant/conscious leadership.
Knowledge of the policies and procedures affecting the assigned program area(s).
Knowledge of the basic principles and theories of student development and educational administration.
Knowledge of the techniques of individual and group counseling.
Knowledge of public relations and facility management.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public.
Ability to identify, develop and implement programs and activities that will benefit the campus community.
