Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Serve as Assistant Director of Academics and Student Development and Advisor to student-athletes of assigned teams. Provide academic advising, planning and other support for student-athletes in the areas of course selection, registration procedures, degree requirements and career goals. Oversee book distribution for all student-athletes, serves as liaison to Office of Student Conduct, create / distribute the student-athlete handbook. Other duties as assigned by Sr. Associate AD / Academics and Student Development.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field and 5 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Academic Advisor experience in a university athletics setting is highly desired, including knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Advisory experience, University experience . Ability to work with culturally diverse students, Computer skills .
