Faculty positions to teach on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus.

Tenure-track, nine-month assistant or associate professor position to teach Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Operations Management, as well as hybrid and on-line courses beginning August 16, 2018. Candidate should embrace diversity and be comfortable with community engagement and service that might include student advising, undergraduate research, and experiential learning.

USC Upstate is seeking teacher-scholars who have a commitment to excellence in teaching and working with a diverse student population and show clear potential for scholarly research and publication. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in student and civic engagement, and active learning pedagogies, such as service-learning, mentoring undergraduate research, and the scholarship of teaching, learning and application; and experience with teaching online or hybrid courses. USC Upstate provides extensive support for junior faculty including competitive professional-development funding, opportunities for student-faculty research collaboration, and a range of workshops and mentoring programs to develop our strengths as teacher-scholars.

Required Education and Experience

Doctorate in supply chain management/logistics, operations management or a closely related field with emphasis on operations, supply chain management and logistics from an AACSB accredited institution required; academically qualified under AACSB 2017 standards; have recent research published in peer reviewed journals (except new graduates); demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence; and demonstrate ability and commitment to contribute to the College’s mission though service. ABD candidates with planned completion date by August 15, 2018 may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in supply chain management with history of excellence in teaching and documented real-world experience in operations/supply chain/logistics are preferred. Recent peer-reviewed publications and evidence of excellence in teaching, scholarship and service is desired.
